Established in 2000, our Brussels practice is focused on all areas of European Union law. As members of our corporate group, our Brussels lawyers are specialised in providing advice on all EU matters in a comprehensive, swift and professional manner. Not only can we provide our clients with up-to-date information on the latest EU developments and trends, but our presence in Brussels and the privileged relationships that we have developed with EU officials allow us to guarantee the efficient and successful conclusion of matters in the interests of our clients.

Our international team specialises in representing European, US and Asian clients in investigations carried out by, and cases before, the European Commission and the European courts in Luxembourg. We advise on a number of traditional European and national competition law issues (cartels, merger control, assessment of a dominant position, compliance programs, drafting of cross-border distribution agreements, etc.) and provide analyses of the state aid which may be available in EU and non-EU countries for international investments. We have expertise in successfully resolving procurement law disputes at national and European level and in particular in the settlement of infringement proceedings. Our EU regulatory work covers a broad spectrum, including chemicals (REACH), energy and life sciences (pharmaceuticals, foodstuffs, GMOs etc).

Preventing disputes rather than resolving them is a fundamental principle of our practice. Where this is not possible, we also advise on, and represent clients in, a wide range of disputes before the European Commission and national and European courts, as well as in arbitration proceedings. In the field of trade, we have extensive experience in anti-dumping, anti-subsidy, safeguard, customs and WTO matters. We have successfully represented foreign and European producers and importers in a large number trade disputes and investigations. The Brussels office is also the European hub of our India practice.

We offer our clients comprehensive legal and economic solutions and provide legal lobbying services to successfully facilitate changes to European laws. We can also help establish early warning and compliance systems, in order to smooth the progress of proactive changes to business models and/or products, as well as to ensure that business strategies will comply with future developments. We also help companies to successfully realise changes in their interest, inter alia, through the submission of complaints and position papers to the European Commission. We have particular expertise in the infrastructure, chemical, energy, waste, environment, automobile, steel, transport, R&D, media, aerospace and sport sectors. Our working languages are English, German, Polish and French, as well as Danish, Bulgarian, Swedish, Norwegian and Turkish.
